Last Saturday we ran this workshop devised and led by Andrew Wille at The London Bridge Hive. Everyday Magic is all about exploring the four elements, Fire, Water, Earth and Air to find ways to access our intuition and energise our writing practice. It’s also a celebration of the creative process and what a day it was! A lovely group of people took part, each adding to the spirit of day.
Andrew’s a gifted teacher and magically combined readings, ideas and exercises to create a unique programme. He also supplied the group with a list of carefully curated resources and writing prompts to take home. It can be easy to forget that creative writing is about much more than the pursuit of publication. Saturday’s workshop encouraged us to experiment with our writing, make discoveries and develop our intuition as writers.
If you feel like you missed out or want to further develop your writing practice, Andrew will be expanding upon this workshop with four new workshops over the coming year. Coming up on the 9th November will be Finding Your Fire: A Four Elements workshop on writing and creativity, followed by Water (January), Earth (March), and Air (May). Each workshop can be taken alone, and will be of use to beginning or experienced writers of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. Each day will also include a session with a special guest (more information to follow.)
Hope to see you soon,
Kellie
